About Scottsdale Road

Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ offers city residents and visitors a wide variety of things to do. This road runs in a straight line from north to south through the city. Historical sites, resorts and shopping centers are located along this street.

Scottsdale became an official town in the latter part of the 19th century. Visitors can learn more about Scottsdale’s history by visiting museums in Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town and downtown Scottsdale are next to each other in an area adjacent to part of Scottsdale Road. Free trolley service is provided in downtown Scottsdale. A public bus route runs along a portion of Scottsdale Road.

A section of Scottsdale Road is sometime referred to as the Resort Corridor because of the number of resorts in the area. Two of the resorts on Scottsdale Road are the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas and the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. There are also some lower priced hotels on Scottsdale Road.

One of the places to shop on Scottsdale Road is the upscale Scottsdale Fashion Square. Stores here include Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton. The Promenade Shopping Center has a variety of stores and restaurants.
